Building More Than Homes on the Gold Coast

For Symcorp, building has always been about more than the homes we create. We’re a local Gold Coast builder, and being part of this community means finding opportunities to use our skills, our people and our resources to make a meaningful difference.

Our relationship with The Sanctuary Women, Children and Pets Refuge began through a community working bee. What started as lending a hand soon became an ongoing relationship with an organisation doing incredibly important work for families in our community.

Helping Create Safe Places for Families

The Sanctuary provides refuge for women escaping domestic violence, giving them somewhere safe to stay with their children and, importantly, their pets.

When Symcorp first became involved, one accommodation unit had been built. Since then, our team has helped The Sanctuary expand its facilities, contributing to the construction of additional units that allow more women and families to access a safe place when they need it most.

It has involved much more than construction. Members of the Symcorp team and our trades have volunteered their time, worked weekends and stepped in when something needed to be done.

For us, that's simply what being part of a community looks like.

Building a great home requires skilled people, but the character of those people matters just as much.

We're incredibly proud of the team, trades and wider network of people who have contributed their time and expertise to support The Sanctuary over the years. Their willingness to get involved reflects the same values we aim to bring to every Symcorp project: showing up, taking responsibility and genuinely caring about the outcome.
