Tarcoola is a completed custom luxury duplex by Symcorp Design & Build, located on the waterfront in Chevron Island. Spanning three storeys, the two residences bring together contemporary architecture, warm interiors and views across the water towards the Surfers Paradise skyline.
From the water, the building’s curved balconies, vertical screens and stone feature wall give the duplex a distinctive presence. Inside, a restrained palette of timber tones, textured surfaces and soft neutrals creates spaces that feel inviting and connected to their setting.
The open-plan kitchen and living area pictured in the project opens onto a covered waterfront terrace. Large sliding doors draw the outlook into the home and create an easy connection between the kitchen, lounge and outdoor dining area.
In the kitchen, a curved island forms the centrepiece. Its textured finish is complemented by dark cabinetry, a statement pendant and warm-toned tapware. An adjoining bar area adds another place to prepare for an evening at home or entertaining guests.
The outdoor spaces make the most of the waterfront position. A covered terrace includes a dining area and outdoor kitchen, with a pool just beyond. Timber-look ceiling detailing and a stone-clad column carry the warmth of the interiors outside.
The poolside setting offers a place to enjoy the water and city views, whether for a quiet morning or an afternoon with family and friends.
Upstairs, a bedroom’s generous glazing frames the water and skyline, while a balcony provides space to sit outside and enjoy the outlook. The adjoining bathroom continues the home’s warm palette, with a freestanding bath, double vanity and timber-toned cabinetry.
Across the project, the combination of open living spaces, private retreats and waterfront entertaining areas brings a sense of ease to luxury duplex living.
Tarcoola showcases what is possible when a custom duplex is planned around its setting. If you’re considering a luxury duplex on the Gold Coast, talk to Symcorp Design & Build about your project.
