The first thing we tackled was the front of the house. We wanted to give it a bit more presence on the street, so we went with a dry-stack stone feature wall and some custom white architectural screens.
It’s a clean, modern look that gives the owners some privacy while still letting the breeze through. We finished off the driveway with grey brick paving and stepping stones to match the rest of the new exterior.
Inside, we didn't want another 'all-white' kitchen. We used a textured grey tiled feature wall that wraps around the corner; it adds some real depth to the room without being too 'busy’.
We paired that with granite benchtops and white cabinetry to keep things bright. The whole living area opens right up with massive glass bifolds, so the ocean-front deck feels like an extension of the lounge.
For the master bedroom, the view is the hero. We used floor-to-ceiling windows to frame the ocean, so it feels like you're right on the beach. In the bathroom, we installed a custom corner bath right under the wraparound windows.
There aren't many places on the Coast where you can soak in the tub with a view like that! We kept the finishes high-spec with stone vanities and large format tiles to match the rest of the renovation.
